This is the first pipe I have ever commissioned, from Chris Askwith of Askwith Pipes. It was inspired by one I saw on his website and it has a briar stem with wonderful birds eye and lovely straight grain on the stem. Chris was a pleasure to deal with and it only took him a couple of weeks to produce the pipe. This morning I loaded it with Dunhill Three Year Matured and it smokes like a dream.IMG_3313.jpgIMG_3316.jpg

What an exceptional piece! I wonder, if the stem is made of one piece or if the tenon is of another material?

That’s an awesome pipe. I’m jealous. I’ve ordered a morta pipe from him that I am waiting on. The more I see his stuff, the more impatient I get! Haha

That plateau, stem, and refined shaping really go to the heights of simplicity and elegance. Bravo, and congratulations.
