Yes. Mildly aromatic though. All of the Frog Morton blends and H&H Mazatec are long time favorites of mine. I have a feeling that mixing some Latakia with Rattray’s Bagpiper’s Dream would make for a spectacular blend. Hhmmmm.... I might just have to try that....

Blends of that sort are frequently referred to as "crossover English" blends.There's a ton of them. They don't work for me, but if you enjoy them, go for it!

All I ask is that the blender not clobber me with the flavoring, so if an English blend can achieve that, I'd likely enjoy it.

HGL is about the only Lane's blend I've nothing to bitch about and that I quite like. That coming from a bloke who finds Lane's subpar and English blends the hoi polloi of pipe tobaccos... that means get some now!!
