The London Mixture is certainly worth having. It's a great blend and getting a bit harder to find. Standard mixture is still being made so it's less of a catch. As bluegrassbrian said, they made a lot of this stuff. I mean Smoking Pipes still sells tins of vintage Dunhill Three Year Matured for the normal price.

For the price, aging and your own personal experience I would say that was a huge score! Getting to buy and try some history, even if relatively recent history by the oldsters account, is always a great experience. I will also be one of the first to trumpet the virtues of an aged tin when I haven't had the chance to age any yet. It's a bit like cheating and getting to enjoy the product without having to put in the time. To get it for the equivalent of the normal price is the best.

It's a bit of a game for me to find and buy some tins with some age and gleefully smoke the contents. Mwaa ha ha! ?
