Are Silicone Pipe Cloths Good For Vulcanite Stems?

I'm not a lover of oxidation. Is silicone good for maintaining a new vulcanite or ebonite stem. I want something that won't negatively affect the stem and is easier than oil. I've used Flitz on occasion but the impregnated cloths used after every smoke seems convenient. Any thoughts? BTW I'm aware of all the methods for restoring stems, but I'd rather not have to in the first place.

Not sure. Mine are made to clean and polish silver.

I picked that tip up from Cosmicfolklore, he’s a jeweler. I love using it.

Jewellers cloth used here too. I also have a cloth that I only use when applying mineral oil to stems, so sometimes I will use this too (without oil, just the residual stuff left on cloth)

This is what I use for both silver bands and vulcanite stems. Seems to work OK.
