I aquired, or more accurately, saved from the trash heap, these old pipes. I gave 20 bucks for the lot. There's nothing really special here, but I have a soft spot for these American classics. Blue collar pipes smoked by blue collar Americans. The pipes are in fair shape, minor tooth chatter that will come out easily and some handling marks which is to be expected from pipes of this age. The pipes were definitely smoked but not abused. I have quite a bit of work ahead of me and I love it. So here are my latest projects.

Kaywoodie Standard 50B
3 Dr Grabow Savoy Yellow Blades
Two are missing the stinger
Medico Medalist this pipe has a
hair line fracture in the shank
Medico kinda funky
Brewster this pipe is unsmoked was only made in 1964 and offered in an SWR promotion.

Some of my best smokes have been with American factory pipes. They just get better as time goes on.
They are really great pipes. I feel privileged to be the current caretaker to these old pipes. These pipes were someone's companion when they relaxed, worked in their shop, watched their kids open Christmas presents, made difficult decisions. They are part of someone's history and now I add some of my own. It's not any history that we'll read about in books but it lives on with those who will remember us and the pipes we cherish.

Dr G stingers were not physically attached to the the screw tenon on adjustamatic pipes, they were just pushed in. If you want the stingers for those pipes I got whole tin full of em.
