Anyone Ever Find a Gas Station Gold Mine?

Maybe it's the large Amish population around me, and their love of old fashioned things (which are also cheap), and their relatively common use of corncob pipes..but I just found the mother lode of 5 Brothers at a local gas station... we're talking cases of the stuff, at a little over $5 a pouch. So much that they have the pouches just kinda piled up on whatever flat surface they could find...on top of the Swishers and blunt wraps, a few dozen piled up on the window ledge, a couple unopened cases there on top of the lottery case...

I've been smoking a lot of 5 Brothers lately.

Anybody else ever find a gold mine like this?

My Amish renter says they have no local rules against occasional use,,,not daily use,,,of tobacco.

When I fill up a cooler for them, I’ll always place lots of water bottles, Orange (non caffeine) soda pop, grape juice, and Coke.

The little kids will scarf up the Coke, first.

Even the adults will drink Coke if that’s all that’s left.

But just like my folks, who were strict Campbellite, no booze or beer allowed, ever,,,,but I understand they make a little homemade wine, just not much.

Each Amish community makes its own rules.

Where tobacco is grown, my Amish friend says they smoke as much as anybody.

I see the Amish in my area carrying out cases of beer from the grocery store in Seymour. I've learned from people who have lived here their whole life that the Amish do love their beer, and occasionally liquor. I know you're not too far from me, but it's interesting to me the difference in rules I've observed from your posts.

Sometimes the difference in rules can be seen in Amish families who live on the same street! Elmer can have a porch swing because he goes to the church over on Grove Road, but Levi can't have one because he goes to the church on Hosmer. Elmer can have the suspenders that cross in back, but Levi's have to go right over the shoulders. Elmer can use solar powered lights but can't charge his cellphone with the same batteries, while Levi can charge his cellphone with his solar array, but isn't allowed to light his house with it.

Elmer and Levi both work at the same hardware store and are friends.

They even get confused sometimes.
