Yesterday a pipe smoking friend gave me a tin of Reiner tobacco as a going away gift. Supposedly the tin is 10 years old and it matches one of the descriptions under Reiner on tr, but nobody has reviewed it. Does anybody have any experience with this tobacco or any information they can share about it?

EDIT: I see you have already found 36 on TR. I could find nothing in Germany other than the site below. My German is not awful but there are no reviews that I could find. Check out the blue label:

It's up there in my very top tier of tobaccos. It stands up with the very best pipe tobacco has to offer and some age makes it all the better. Awhile back I bought a 10+yr old tin from PipeStud. Stellar stuff indeed.

Great gift! I've never tried that line, but the long leaf va/per is legendary.

It's an online shop in Germany

Thanks for the infomation. I'll bring it with me to the Chicago Show and open it there to share.
And yes. Not sure how the previous owner cellared, but regardless of the hell-and-back looks, they're still intact.

It's settled. I'm going to Chicago just to try the 'wild cut'.
Is 'cut' a noun or a verb in that scenario?

Haha! It has me wondering too. Not sure if leather gloves will be needed for packing this tobacco. So far the tin has been quiet, but it might just be hibernating.

I'll be at the Chicago show today with my beat up tin of reiners. Probably be hanging out with the briarworks guys.
