Any Clue Identifying This Pipe?

I got this very odd pipe years ago in a box lot from ebay. It's NEARLY unsmoked.
It is very oddly shaped, but very well made, and is insanely light weight. I haven't worked on it or smoked it. Does anyone have an idea?
It just says "Italy" on it.

That’s a non descript Italian basket pipe. The shaping and finish work may be a little sub par. They are priced accordingly but can smoke just fine.

The color, the shape and the mouthpiece would make me bet on a pipe made by Lorenzo Tagliabue.

Looking at the shape, my money is on Connoisseur or Lorenzo, maybe a reject if its missing any other markings
