Had a little antique store find on the weekend. The pipes are in rough shape but the price was pretty low. Two had broken off tenons in them with no stem, one had a stem with missing tenon so the person jammed a piece of copper pipe in, and the Brigham looks like it might be missing a band. I'll be posting the clean ups and repairs in a separate thread but I wanted to show off what I found. I'll post more pictures later.

Taken as raw material I think I can see some possibilities. The briar is likely well dried. Some colorful stems might light these up, once the briar is rescued.

I don't mind a little work but they look beyond my ability.

Best off luck, let us see your end results.

I often get more excited about estate finds that require a little TLC. At the end of the project I feel I have more of a relationship with the pipe.

The rusticated Dublin can probably take a push bit from another pipe, or you could have one made, in which case I'd suggest a tortoise shell or amber, to dress it up. Just seeing what might be done.

I keep forgetting to add the other pictures to this, but I'll do that soon. I've already started the restorations on three of the pipes. Almost to the point where all three only need a polish, just finishing shaping the stem on the light coloured one now.

Here are the extra pictures of the pipes. I don't know much about any of them other than a little reading in Brigham pipes and Trypis pipes.

Inside the Brigham after makeshift screens were removed, still need to remove a ring someone put in.
