I recently had the pleasure of visiting Anthony's Cigar Emporium in Tucson, Arizona. Anthony's has several locations in the area, and I was able to visit three separate shops in the area.
All three shops had a tremendous selection of cigars with walk-in humidors, smoking lounges with comfy chairs, beverages, and televisions. Each location also had very helpful and courteous staff members that were engaging, friendly, and courteous.
Now, each location did not have the same quantity of pipe tobacco, tobacco pipes, and pipe accessories. Two locations were more stocked with tobacco bulk and tins, while the other was only minimally stocked and catered towards more cigars. It was the third location that I visited that had the largest quality of pipe tobacco, pipes, and accessories.
Tobaccos included both bulk and tins. The majority of the bulk tobaccos were Cornell & Diehl, Stokkebye, and Lane. The pricing was around $5 per ounce for bulk tobacco, with a heavier emphasis on the aromatics. The tinned tobaccos were hovering around the $20-$30 per tin, which included C&D, Seattle Pipe Club, Briar Works, HU, and Pesse Canoe. While I was there I was able to pick up a tin of C&D's recent release of Carolina Red Flake.
Pipes included Erik Nording, Peterson, Savinelli, Stokkebye, and basket pipes.
Pipe Accessories included pipe cleaners, filters, screens, tools, stands, and lighters.
Overall I was very impressed with the shops, staff members, and quality and quantity of pipe tobacco, pipes, and accessories all reasonably priced. If you have the chance to visit them it is well worth the trip! Attached are some photos!
