The only reason I got that reference is because Zevon covered that song. Why, I have no idea...seemed like an odd choice for him.
Yeah, I think it was somethin" I heard over the radio or saw on Friday night videos back in the 80s.

The snarky rap on psychologists/psychiatrists is that they go into the field because they are trying to fix something in themselves. Probably in some cases.

I think others are just good at listening to other peoples' problems and giving some light on the subject.

I talked with a psychiatrist one time, not as a patient, and he said to me, "You've been in analysis haven't you?" I hadn't, and told him, no. He looked genuinely surprised. Maybe I just looked like I needed it.

He was also an amateur artist, but not a very good one. He had his work around his office, which I thought was kind of interesting.

As a guy that spent a few years studying Psychology I concluded it’s total rubbish, trying to generalize and put people into buckets to solve their problems. It is oversimplifying at best. But hey, if someone will pay you for it…

I have the great fortune to know a great psychologist and a great psychiatrist who passed away years ago. Those guys are good and helped a lot of people. I have a special appreciation for them. They did several psychoanalyses on me. They told me, John, you are a normal person, they found no abnormalities in me. That was at a time when I was grieving my previous divorce. There are great professionals. Hey guys, did any of you lose your damn beret?😉😜

Are they all psychologists? They seem like nice people.😜Hey Jeff, what were you doing there surrounded by psychologists? You look fantastic my friend. You remind me of a creature of the night. Damn fetishist psychologists.

They seemed nice. I asked them for some help. I told them all I could think about was eating noodles—they told me I had Mega-Lo-Mein-ia.

Vegas Baby!!!
I once sent employees of my landscaping company to 3456 Elm (fictitious address) to cut down and process 3 trees.

When they were done they called and asked about trees 4 and 5. I about shit my pants.

I had inadvertently sent them to 3465 Elm.

That is why I’m a fire investigator. Burned out buildings are hard to not see on a street
