A seller from eBay. Just saw it out of the blue today while looking for vintage lighters. At worst, I expect to have to remove a corroded flint.
Damn! I thought it was new since at that price I would have given one a try out. I guess it's back to the huge box of kitchen matches or BIC lighter for me!!

Do you know if it is refillable (doesn’t take a cartridge). I’m only asking because I know you collect lighters- I have a few but most of my Japanese lighters look great but either can’t be repaired or can’t be refilled.
E.g. - I have two black lacquer GBD Trophy lighters that leak and can’t be repaired. I’m a sucker and will probably by another hoping to get one that I can use for a while.

Yep. The Beattie is referred to as a jet as well. It distinguishes them from torch lighters.
It is. Fill valve is on the bottom. I saw one on a vintage lighter video.
