I had the day off work today, so sat down with a cup of coffee and was perusing the latest pipe offerings on e-bay.......

I saw this absolutely stunning 1926 Cased Dunhill Set for sale on a "buy it now". I quickly looked at the pictures, then looked to see if the seller offered returns.......... yep, 14 days money back. Well, I clicked back to the page, and deciding that this set belonged in my collection, I clicked the "Buy" button........ Alas, I got beat out by a few SECONDS.........DAMN!..

I'm hoping someone on here picked it up, and could share a few more photos.....

Its hard to put a value on these things, but I think the price was fair for these, rarities that they are.....

That really sucks when you take a moment to collect your thoughts and make a decision and then all of a sudden whatever it was is then no longer available. Was an "estate sale find" got to wonder what they paid for the set......

Ouch.
Stuff like that doesn't find its way to the public very often, anymore.
Had the guy auctioned it he would have done better than $1200, I imagine. (He's probably kicking himself, too  )
