When I had open the pouch the aroma was a tangy fruit essence . The tobacco is cut in pieces in which I had to break down the tobacco in order to pack the pipe. Once the charring had started the first few puffs were dry. As I had smoked the bowl half way down the essence improved , a slight sweet taste that a Virginia tobacco is known for started to come forward . My Stanwell pipe stayed cool as I had smoked it down . I took my time while smoking this blend and being patient had paid off. This blend is mild to a medium in strength and I have found that its simplicity is it's best suit.
