A couple of days ago I placed a bid on a pipe that had a broken amber stem that had been repaired. Yes it was unsmoked, but it wasn't uniquely anything special. My bid was for $31.00. I thought that was outrageous. It went for something north of $150.00. Okay. Someone now proudly has in a drawer a nondescript pipe with a repaired stem. The world continues to rotate some I guess that's just fine.
