Altinok vs Altinay

I have one of each and the main difference between them is fit and finish. My Altinay is exceptional in every regard, from the stem to the bowl, and exudes quality. Even someone who doesn’t smoke a pipe I think could hold that pipe and know that is extremely well made. My Altinok is a solid pipe but the stem and draught hole don’t have the same attention to detail.
Smoking wise they are both excellent and wouldn’t hesitate to purchase another from either

I agree with @MikeDub regarding Altinay's quality...I do not own an Altinok though so can't speak to that.
But I would add it depends a lot on what type of pipe you're looking for. Altinay has certain styles that I haven't seen anywhere else.

I had an Altinok that i had commissioned. The stem was misaligned with the mortise. It wasnt detrimental, but bugged me too no end. Think it shouldve been caught.
I have an Altinok I commissioned and the fit and finish are exceptional!

+1 for Altinay quality. The mortise/tenon fit is so smooth and flawless.
Side note: somehow my most recent pipe order from Altinay arrived (in California) in less than a week. I don't even get pipes and tins from the US that fast.

All of mine have been that quick. DHL does such a good job in this regard.
My experience (with in-stock meers, not commissions) is that both are reputable, and I wouldn’t hesitate buying a pipe from either.
Same here...every pipe I purchased from Altinay arrived within a few days to U.S.
Indeed. A fit issue like this would drive me nuts as well especially given the price point
yea my claw arrives tomorrow from ALTINAY. My bulldog showed up in like 5 days as well and both were over the weekend.
I have a Meer from each of this carvers. Both are excellent. But the one that aesthetically appeals to you.
