Alpha Experts? Info Please.

Any Alpha experts in the house? Picked this up today. Other than Pipedia and Pipephil, not sure how else to find info about Alpha’s. How old, what type of quality etc... this shape is very reminiscent of one of my best smokers, an Alpha calabash with an awesome blast.


Hoping this one cleans up nice. I might try the damp towel iron thing to remove a few dents/ nicks.

Thanks for any info you can lend or directions you can point me in on how to research other than the two I mentioned.

I think Alpha is a sub model of Chacom. I have a pipe labeled Alpha and Chacom.

My mistake. I just looked at the Chacom and the name is Alpina. Sorry for the confusion. Not enough coffee yet.

Alpha was made in Israel’s only pipe factory (Shalom Pipe), closed in the 80’s. Solid info on pipedia, just not a lot about shapes, dates, models etc...
