Aging Perique long term

So I have my bulk VA. Flakes for the future cellared away. I'm wondering if any of you are cellaring perique to blend with your Virginia's in the coming years?

Any reccomended Perique selections would be greatly appreciated by this Virginia lover.

I'm not cellaring perique to blend with my aged VA at a future date, but I have plenty of tinned VA/pers cellared and home blends I've already blended the perique into cellared. Options are more limited nowadays for perique, Sutliff and D&R blending perique is gone which was some of the best in my opinion. C&D sells blending perique but I've been waiting to get confirmation if that has also switched over to their 31 farms exclusive perique or if they're still working through selling old standard perique for that.

If you don't mind a little processing at home then I would recommend the perique from WholeLeafTobacco. I usually throw in a pound with any WholeLeaf order I place. It would need to be cut into ribbons though unless you're making plugs.

I've got several pounds of C&D granulated perique from 2015 but not for blending.

I've got a few pounds of it.

I figure it will mix well with just about anything that needs to be bumped up, strength wise.

I got a few pounds of Sutliff TS-20 at the end. I love its “extra tangy” profile. The VA’s I’ll blend it with in the future probably won’t be VA flakes, more likely the Sutliff 515RC1 I bulked up on a bit as well.
Gotta have a backup for when my Match Victorian gets low in the ‘30’s

I have some Perique put away, including a couple of tubs of the now 22 year old Le Poche perique that I got from Mark Ryan 7 or 8 years ago, as well as some smoked Perique that was a special batch. Le Poche is pretty good and wasn’t further processed by a blending house.

I also put away a bit of TS-20 perique to mix with 515RC-1 down the road. I use 2 oz perique with 1 lb of VA for 11% perique blend.

Smoked straight in a pipe? Cigarettes?

Smoked straight in a pipe often after soaking with rum. Haven't tried converting it to RYO yet but I'd bet it would be fantastic.
