I agree with the hand date stamp on the F&T Cut Blended Plug. That is the general time period of the smaller rectangle tins before they jumped to the larger ones. Also, the bar code is on the back.
Tavern Tobacco had a few blends specially made for them by both Gawith and Gawith & Hoggarth back in the early 2000's (Rusty Henge Flake comes to mind), so I believe the hand date stamp on that tin of Boar's Head is close to correct. I just checked my records and never sold one that was newer than 2003. So, 2005 may have been the buyer's date of purchase. In any event, you have a couple of great old blends!
