Not sure. Its been a while since "negrohead" was on a label. Assuming the weight is only in grams, maybe late 1990s? One thing is certain. The retailer didn't follow instructions and violated the law!

Sadly the tin of three nuns I got at the same time had lost its seal. Attempting to rehydrate that now.

this gold block was gooey greazy on the paper. Yum

In the early 1970's English and Irish tobacco tins began showing the weight in both ounces and grams before going to straight grams at a debated point later in the 1970's. Since rectangle tins began appearing with Ogden's in the 1960's (St. Bruno Flake as an example), I am inclined to believe the tin was made in the 1960's, but that is only a guess.

Wow. Thanks for your input. I can’t believe the tobacco inside is still good!

can’t say the same for the three nuns tin I got. The seal failed and it says 50 Grams but made in England. So I was guessing late 1970s for that one.

This is the Three Nuns Tin with the failed seal which I’m guessing is from the late 1970s?
