Hello all. I'm currently bidding on the following item.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/390883097228?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT#ht_1731wt_1238
Should I be concerned with the inner bowl condition? I can't tell whether that is cake that is missing from the inside of the bowl, or if it is missing wood.

Any advice or other observations would be greatly appreciated. I don't have a Peterson yet, and would enjoy adding this to my collection. (If the price doesn't explode in the last 15 seconds that is)

I have purchased pipes with similar problems all i did was ream it down as best as i could and most of it smoothed itself out however there will likely be a bit of damage to the wall in side the bowl but you can fix that with pipe mud or just smoke it until you build up a decent cake.
Tip: after reaming coat inside the bowl with welshes grape jelly not Jam jelly light coat will help start a good cake form.
