Activated Charcoal and Table Salt in Pipe Mud?

Currently, Im testing to put a single tablet worth of charcoal and a small teaspoons of table salt into my cigar ash mixture.

Currently waiting for it to cure. Ill wonder how it would turn out.

I noticed the salt and charcoal adds volume to the mixture since some of the corncob pit are rather deep.

I wonder if i should stick to the simple cigar ash or not.

Indeed it does. I use powdered activated charcoal, numerous choices on Amazon.

Update

After leaving it for a few day
Upon testing it by twisting some tissue paper in it
The set was too crumbly, maybe i set it too wet.

Currently will try to smoke it and see if the heat will make them harden.

Im gonna try to the same solution with less water in my other pipes and see how it turns out

Just a littlebscience project, please dont burn me hahaha

Hmm i think i came to a conclusion

Just sticks with cigar ash and call it a day???

Eventhough it burns well but the charcoal and salt muted the tobacco tastes completely.
And for that it defeat the whole purpose of pipesmoking. ???

Salt has no business being left inside of a tobacco pipe but the pepper from Perique is pretty good.

Not at all. Interesting to go through the process and see the end result

I've tried mixtures with yoghurt, honey, whisky (not all at the same time) but now use cigar ash and water only.

Simple and effective
