Or watch M just because it's an all-time classic and shows Peter Lorre in the performance of a lifetime.
and it's on my short list of older movies that prove you don't have to be graphic to be intense or creepy. That implication if done well is better and hits harder then being explicit does. M in my opinion hits harder then many modern movies that show everything and spell out the darker implications. Like you know what's wrong with Peter Lorre character but they don't spell it out and some how that makes it all the more icky to me.

Early 1900s plastic used in pipes as a replacement for amber. You'll sometimes see it listed as cherry amber.
Thank you for the info. Is there any magic to these amber or bakelite/redmanol stems as far as the smoke goes? I have only ever smoked modern acrylic stems. Haven't even had a ebonite yet but hope to aquire one some day.

I don’t know about the identity of the material, but I’d agree with the others that said the stem doesn’t look like amber. More like one of the early Bakelite-esque polymers. But I have no clue. I really just wanted to say it’s a cool looking piece.
I take it from your handle you can TIG? ?
