That what I had to work with while deciding if to buy it and for what price, at the end of the day I paid 90€ and I guess we will see when it comes hereHard to tell from the pics but the hallmarks will give you the date. The stamping will be helpful, too, so good pictures of both please.
I’d say it was a solid find either way. That what I had to work with while deciding if to buy it and for what price, at the end of the day I paid 90€ and I guess we will see when it comes here![]()
So the commemorative releases were stamped with a grade number?I can't read the hallmark letter, but I don't believe on the Commemorative releases they were stamped with a grade number (2 shown here).
Let’s hope so. Another thing that got me suspicious was the stem is this style common for the era? I am sorry but I have limited experience with really old Petes and I still can’t find a copy of the book for reference…Great Find!! Looks to be from 1924. Commemoratives don’t have grade stamping that I’ve ever seen.
The price is killer too.
No (I don't believe they were stamped with a grade number, my 1910 was not.)So the commemorative releases were stamped with a grade number?
No toying around please…Do you want the really good news?
What me to toy with you longer?
Yes it is pretty much the same as the 1923, also the seller did not specify any dimensions but he called the pipe XXL so that checks too with it being a house pipe. Thank you so much!!!Top pipe is from 1922 - House Pipe
Bottom pipe is an 01 from 1923
What do you notice
