First impression: really cheap tin. Not impressed with the packaging, Still, the Perique smells wonderful and I'm excited to try it. This is what I've been waiting for.
It does not disappoint.
This Perique is definitely better than the McC I've tried. The flavors are more distinct, they evolve as I smoke, and they are lovely. The typical fruit notes appear, along with a pleasant woodiness and something that might be the mushroom taste that some folks talk about, but I don't eat mushrooms so I couldn't say. The spice is mild in the mouth, strong in the snork. I'm getting the tail end of a mint-ish flavor somewhere, not sure what it is up to. Nictotene is very present.
This is THE tobacco. Don't buy any of this stuff. I want all of it.

I was curious about this - also because I haven't tried straight perique yet. This is the $25, tin right?
