I acquired these 2 estates:

1. A Kriswill Golden Clipper. It smokes well and I am getting used to the flat sides of the bowl. Straight-flame grain around the bowl. BTW, what is the origin of pipes with these flat sides?

2. A Brakner made Henley Sport. This is an incredible smoker and it is tiny. Easily my lightest pipe. Very narrow bowl. But, I have searched for history on this one and find that the Henley sport is not a Brakner "named" pipe but another piper said that these were made by him for ?? A pipe that looks exactly like this one is in his 1961 catalog. Anyone know these pipes?

The flat sections or otherwise sometimes polished sections on a sandblast is a danish thing. I always figured it’s where they expect you to hold it?
