Fox News posted this story today where Rep Duncan Hunter is seeking to roll back the Obama regulation that turned control of tobacco like products over to the FDA.
Could this be a legitmate crack in the Deeming law? Might we continue to see our favorite blends?
The focus does seem to be limited to Vape exemptions, but with such a small percentage of pipe tobacco, might we get a push for relief there?

This would be a joke on Big Tobacco since their aim in crafting this legislation was to kill off their competition in the vaping marketplace. Whether it will be extended to all tobacco products remains to be seen.

I watch Fox News for the humor not the "reporting".
Ever since the deeming regulations were released I've always thought that they'll probably stay in place for the most part. Where we may get a small victory is some attorney convincing a judge that the fee is ridiculous and should be adjusted to a more reasonable rate based off the industry's yearly revenue. Depending on if it happens and the potential decided new fee price we could see a lot of the beloved newer blends stay on the market. Might also see some companies going after the discontinued blends like the Dunhill and John Cotton's lines if those companies don't resurrect the blends themselves.
