My first Muxaing is way better than was pictured, it didn’t need break in, and is fancier grained than any classic American factory pipe from the golden era short of a large ball four hole stinger Pre War Kaywoodie Flame Grain, which it seems equivalent to.

No fills, thick bowl walls, perfectly finished, its waxed not varnished, and the briar has to be aged and well cured or it would have a briar taste during break in.

They have lucite stems and an optional 9mm filter.

Let’s see how long this one takes get here from China.

Muxaing needs some dealers like CAO had the Charlie Rich looking pipe seller feller down in Springfield thirty five years ago.

Women would buy these like nobody’s business as gifts for the men they loved.

I have the same pipe as shown in the first picture ...bought it on a whim one evening.

This is a great pipe, smoked like a seasoned bowl right out of the box. Cheap enough that I will take it anywhere, but still looks great and feels solid.

When I go buy a Fender guitar at a guitar store, I always go straight to the Mexican made ones and play as many as they have -- 1 or 2 will be great, most will be just fine, and there will be one or two turds, too.

...I am not sure if I happened to get one of the best of a batch with this pipe or if they are consistently this good, either way I am happy with it.

I did notice that I have been having dreams of red/yellow flags and tanks as well as CCP slogans floating through my dreams ever since I got it, though... (complete sarcasm).

Almost twenty five years ago I bought my wife and I a little red supercharged Mazda Miata convertible with a roll bar and racing stripe, from an Assembly of God preacher who was getting too many speeding tickets.

But my mother, went to her grave not knowing I had it. If she’d seen it, she’d have licked her lips and said what a beautiful little red Japanese car, it looks brand new!

Let’s go buy some flowers and go to decorate Coxswain Urban Herschel Marlow’s grave in your new car.

Urban Herschel Marlow was a friend of my fathers, but his father died young and young Urban joined the CCC camps then volunteered for the navy and the captain of the USS Arizona put a Campbellite deacon at the helm of his battleship. I served communion to Urban Marlow’s mother and sister using the same communion plates my father and Urban used.

I taught all four of my kids to drive a stick on that car and eventually my wife and I got old enough it wasn’t fun anymore and I sold it,

My wife is proud of me, I can go in a Sushi restaurant now and not make any wisecracks about Pearl Harbor.

Them there Chicoms hated MacAurthur about as much as we did for leaving all those planes on the ground after Pearl Harbor, except for Colin Kelly II who sank a Jap battleship.

One thing good about China, is you have to travel half way around the world and make an appointment with them before they fight.:)

I forgave the Japanese a few years ago, but I ain’t never, going to forget.

Looks nice but I don't trust anything I'm going to put in my mouth from China.

I have another Muxaing, and while it was fabricated in China the principal working part of the little tobacco furnace is Mediterranean briar.

The black, soft, chewy stem is hands down and far away the best plexiglass (lucite) pipe stem I own. These are going to give lucite stems a better reputation. Coal black and glowing and not shiny like a cheap suit. At a certain price point Muxaing claims a vulcanite stem but surely not a $65 Cumberland exhibition grain bent egg.

I’d guess the stem is sanitary, more so even than if vulcanite.

What mystifies me is how did they make and sell me a $43 pipe that equals or exceeds the best Pre War Large Ball 4 hole stinger Drinkless I’ve ever seen, and where do the cheapies with flaws and fills and poor grain figure go?

All my mother ever said about China was for me to finish my supper because there were children in China (or in Arkansas, sometimes) that were starving.

I always felt so lucky to be an Ozarker born in Missouri , instead of a Chinaman or an Arkansawyer, you know?

We did sing about what today are called Asian girls. I’d lead off with Geisha Girl and my cousin Deana would reply with Lost to a Geisha Girl while our parents played guitars and grandma plinked out the tune on her piano.

Maybe them there Muxaings are made by pretty young Asian maidens?

It’s pretty to think so.

Had a fellow who fought in the Pacific at work, had to hide him when we had Jap visitors, he was the father of a famous author, was a Major in the Army. The Authors last name is Crais. He would only listen to me as I was a fellow vet, DONT blame him.

More or less, it is true China is free of do gooders, regulators, and environmentalists and products liability lawyers.

But they sell a lot of trinkets to first world nations who do have modern safety standards.

That was kind of bad when they adulterated the baby food.

But the Chinese will execute even well connected millionaires for shit like that.

These are a hunk of briar on a plastic stem.

I’d say the tobacco they burn is more dangerous, you know?

In order to sell to huge corporations like Walmart and Amazon and the like, the Chinese factories have to conform to international standards organizations. Some of us can remember Kathy and Frank Gifford handing out hundred dollars bills at a Caribbean sweatshop. Jeff Bezos ain’t gonna do that.:)

The Chinese no longer have the lowest wages, or the least regulation.

What they do have is workers who can almost duplicate a $3,000 set of German binoculars for $300.

My $43 Muxaing is just perfectly detailed and finished. And skilled hands had to put that last 1/10,000 on there.

My pipe came today, and the grain isn’t as good but the stem is better than pictured.

Still an outrageous bargain at $65.

No fills, flaws or ripples and it’s waxed not varnished.

The pipe is pre carboned and needs no break in. An excellent extra large size smoker.
