I'm not sure. I just received my shipment and the tins state "...syrian latakia, ..." so I believe that this is new old stock that they are blowing out. The new tin label just states "...latakia, ...". Probably your last chance to pick up something with syrian latakia.

If anyone's looking for Syrian latakia, try Brebbia's Balkan or Latakia Flake. They both have generous portions, according to the tin.
