I haven't seen anything on the 2021 St. Patrick's Day Petersons, so I checked out the website. No info other than a photo. Well, at least it looks like they're off that green stain kick. Not sure I'll be rushing to purchase one though...

I might pick one up if the price is right, stems are a little gaudy with a green that bright though I’ll agree.

a bit closer view to one of them

I have two green stain pipes, a Chacom and a EWA. I have maybe a dozen Petersons, so I doubt I'd go for St. Pat's this year. I would comment though, with pipes like cars, a particular color goes great on some models or shapes than on others, so choosing the shape would have a lot of bearing. The green stem could look snappy and bright on some shapes, droopy and dowdy on others. (Some white cars looks smashing, others look like fleet utility wagons.)

I’m glad I don’t have the collector gene. St. Patrick, Christmas, Pipe of the Year, limited editions, these companies have a new thing to collect every other month.

The only themed Peterson I have is from their discontinued (I think) Around the World series with perhaps eight or ten pipes celebrating different nations. I bought the pipe commemorating Ireland, a quarter bent bulldog with a thick nickel band, red stain, and a good medium bowl. I always enjoy lighting it up; it's well made, as a pipe from Ireland should be.

OK, Well they're popping on the sites today... So I picked up XL90 and 264. I usually always buy a St. Pat's Day pipe or two. They're pretty much knockaround pipes. I don't know how many I have; I think I've only ever smoked two of them... cray
