That sounds like an amazing gathering. NYPD officers are a special breed. My wife lived and worked in NYC and the area for her entire adult career in newspapering. I don't know anyone with NY experience that doesn't have stories about New York's finest. Not all, but some of those guys, vested with authority, still manage to come up with some brilliant humor to boost public morale without giving up their responsibility to keep things in order. Often, they are truly special people. We won't be there, but I'd love a rundown on the menu to whet my appetite for supper.

Eric, if you can't catch a ride please consider taking the train, Metro North I assume. You can then jump on the LIRR to the Lynbrook Station a we can arrange to pick you up there. Let me know.
