Here is what I did for my BBQ yesterday.
I started off the food festivities with a CAO America that I paired with a great Riesling.
About half way through the cigar and the wine, we broke out the appetizers. There was Brie, Smoked Gouda, a warm crab dip, vegetable wraps, crackers, and some fresh sourdough bread.
After nibbling on those and finishing the cigar, I stoked up the grill. I made some corn on the cob, some Portobello mushroom burgers for the wife (she's going through a no meat phase) and some burgers, which I had special plans for.
As for the burgers, I was making Cuban Sandwich Style Cheeseburgers. I put the buns on a foil wrapped pan, put on the fixings, and pressed them with a heavy pot.
The finished burgers. They turned out great!
I opened a bottle of Red Zinfandel to go with dinner.
I also grilled up some peaches to have after dinner.
