Found this today at the Antique store. I think I will have it framed.

I have a sealed 1 lb jar still in the box it's older than I am! Plan on opening it for its 70th birthday.

fish', that's a time capsule of pipe smoking pleasure. I think everyone will want to hear about it when you break it open for a smoke. Hope it doesn't give only a great first bowl and then fade away, as some are said to do. Looks pretty wonderful.

Fish, that is freakin awesome. I've never seen the carton before, I have a glass jar like that of Walnut, it's half full, and I have seen a full Prince Albert jar at a local antique mall, but I've never even heard of the carton before I saw the above ad, and then yours, very, very cool indeed!

I als picked up various size tins of Edgeworth Slices from the 40's to the 50's needed to be hydrated a little but there is a lb of that I take pleasure from now and again. I doubt the slices will ever be made as the old recipe was again but from what I've read the Lane Limited Ready Rubbed is using the original Edgeworth recipe and folks have written it's the same tobacco.

The ad is great fun,and great that you have that jar, banjo. Love to know how it's held up when you open it.
I never tried the Edgeworth version, but have been enjoying the Lane version. It's a darned nice smoke.
