I‘m fighting the urge to get a pound of the burley flake. I’d appreciate everyone posting unfavorable notes compared to Solani and Wessex burley flakes.
No bites from me, I stocked up years ago when the pound boxes were regularly priced at $35.
I took advantage of the C&D sale, I figured I didn’t have enough Bayou Morning so I remedied that. Was going to go buy a whole bunch more of Mac Baren Mixture Flake but I see it’s not listed anymore! Does anyone know when they took the axe to that one? That was a damn good flake, I guess it was a secret kept just a bit too well. Too hype your favorite blends or not?!… that is the question. In one case, you run the risk of it always being out of stock due to hype, the other case, they discontinue the blend due too poor sales… what a conundrum!
Yes, yes, I know they still sell the RR version but I liked the flake much better. Could have gone with a couple more pounds of it for the cellar but my stash will have to do.
