“Perfect” Tobacco and Drink Pairings?

First off, I wasn’t sure whether to post this here or in the section with food and drinks. I felt like it could go either way, so I opted for the higher traffic area. My sincere apologies if I erred.

What specific tobacco and drink pairings have y’all found that are just outstanding? I mean many of us swig coffee, tea, or bourbon with our pipe, but have you stumbled upon a pairing that elevated both that particular blend and that particular beverage to a higher level? Something really good?

I’ve found a couple that I really think are great:
C&D Habana Daydream with cafe de olla, a cinnamon-infused coffee. Now I’ve been cheating in all honesty, it’s Community’s Cafe de Olla blend, not the home-brewed stuff in the earthenware, but the cinnamon really brings out some nuances in that tobacco that just don’t shine with plain coffee. Likewise, that coffee doesn’t really do anything magical with other cigar leaf blends I’ve tried either. It’s just that one combination.

Another is C&D Winchester with a nice syrupy light roast/breakfast blend coffee. It really plays well with the Green River Burley Cavendish. Toasty and sweet, without being cloying.

What have y’all found that just “clicks?”

Ice tea in the summer, Earl Grey in the winter, paired with Irish flake.

McDonald's coffee (Canadian, it's different than American) and Super Value Bourbon Whiskey early in the morning with frost on the ground.

Straight Izmir Turkish and cold strong black coffee is a favourite of mine.

I will second the winchester and coffee.

I love a late evening balkan blend with laphroaig, but bourbon pairs nicely too.
If I dont feel like liquor then the same evening blend goes with tea, either lapsang souchong, or liquorice.

Root beer with a ton of ice and a cob full of half and half on a hot summer evening is definitely a decent combo.

My Sunday morning smoke is Solani Aged Burley Flake and black coffee, the two combine to produce a sublime pairing, very simple, but very satisfying.

Coffee, tea, sweet tea and beer work for all. Water works well if you want to focus on tasting the tobacco. For me, most citrus drinks are no good with tobacco.

Iced tea, red wine an occasional Manhattan with a water chaser to cleanse the pallet between drinking and smoking. And a cold Anchor Steam is also a nice compliment to an afternoon smoke.

Sweet iced tea or iced water goes with pretty much everything for me. Sometimes in the hotter months I like a good IPA with my Va’s and VaPers. In the colder months I like coffee, hot tea (usually Earl Grey), and sometimes hot chocolate with my English/Balkans. I rarely drink the hard stuff these days, but I might occasionally pour a couple fingers of rum to sip if I’m really in the mood.

Lapsang and anything Dark Fired, I usually like 1792 or Dark Flake.

Dark Flake scented pairs really well with lightly sweetened iced tea with a splash of rose water for good measure.

Coffee pairs well with any pipe, it’s just a great pair.

It can be hard to track down, but any loose leaf tea outfit SHOULD have it...I have had a few shop clerks look at me blankly when asking for it, I just march back out of the shop and ride home on my penny farthing.

Coffee and tobacco, at least to me, belong to each other.

I really like Mt Dew and Dunhill/Peterson Early Morning Pipe. I don’t know why this works, but it’s a pairing I highly recommend for a hot morning, if you like Mt Dew. (Go for Mt Dew Throwback, if they ever start making the stuff again.)

Vanilla latte with Scottish mixture or any traditional English...nice.

As others have mentioned, coffee seems to go well with everything. However, I find coffee with a little cream to be a great complement to Burley-based blends.

Scotch with Englishes. The Latakia and peat go well together.

Cognac with a nice rich Va such as FVF. They both enhance the sweetness of the other.
