How Do You Access Your PMs? (I looked, I tried, I failed)

I know how to check my PM's. The issue is never receiving any email notifications when I receive one.

How Do You Access Your PMs? (I looked, I tried, I failed)

^^ That's all been checked on YES from the first day I became a member, and still is.

How Do You Access Your PMs? (I looked, I tried, I failed)

Checked all of the above a long time ago Cosmic, and I've had the same email address for 16 years.

How Do You Access Your PMs? (I looked, I tried, I failed)

Been a member since 2013 and I've gotten my share of PM's, but not ONCE have I ever received an email notification! What's up with that? That, and aside from the fact that my profile states that my last activity was over a year ago and that my total time online is MINUS 10853 hours! Seems as...

    Stiff Shank

If the shank became stiff before you started this process I can only assume that it was flaccid before you started. Lesson learned... never purchase a pipe with a flaccid shank as they just won't perform and give satisfaction.

    Stiff Shank

Nah, I'm not gonna say it... much too easy.

    That $#!t's Stupid

Ya just gotta love forum sites. Aside from the plethora of shared and informative information one can glean from them they also never fail to entertain.

    That $#!t's Stupid

Nah, not all that stupid considering it's price and if you are into tampers Personally, I more often than not use a simple pipe nail, the tamper on my Corona Pipemaster lighter, or in a pinch, my finger. Now, if you want to see stupid and overpriced simply because it has the tiny name of Dunhill...

Pre 2007 Blends - Are They Really Safe?

... and Mixture No.79. C'mon, you knew someone had to say it.

Pre 2007 Blends - Are They Really Safe?

My feelings exactly as their (FDA) prime target, thanks to Philip Morris and R.J Reynolds, is the e-cig industry and pipe tobacco and cigars were simply unfortunate collateral damage. As you stated, enforcing these haphazard regulations takes money so I believe the e-cig industry will get the...

    Quote Button

Same thing I do and it's, obviously, working fine for me.

Blend(s) you will hate losing the most?

Not worried about it (which is no reflection on the absurdity of what the FDA is doing), but I'll survive with what I have and what will still be available, which is a more than enough to satisfy me.

    pipe tobacco risks

No offense intended, but that has to be the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard! So yes, you certainly don't have the 'facts' and are incorrect. ________________________________________ My exact feelings and it sums it all up quite succinctly. ________________________________________...

Now available: Missouri Meerschaum Cob Cigars

I've seem them before, but I still don't get the reasoning behind them. Simply a novelty which one will smoke a few times and then never bother with it again.

    FDA Approved Alternative

Couldn't agree more which is why I'm not loosing any sleep over this. If your whole life pipe smoking experience revolves around 'future' blends then you shouldn't be smoking a pipe in the first place. There are literally hundreds of blends out there which will not be affected by this whole FDA...

    FDA Approved Alternative

I'm smoking crushed and dried Maple leaves with just a very light dose of of vanilla bean (expensive ya know) and it's quite satisfying. This is rather odd for me as I normally never smoke aromatics but what the hell. Sometimes I'll throw in a tad of Basil as I have a ton of it growing in my...

What Did Your Fathers and Grandfathers Smoke?

When I was a child I remember my great uncle and grandfather smoking a pipe (early 50's) and I loved the smell. Not really sure what tobacco it was, but obviously some OTC such as PA, CH or Granger. Whatever tobacco it was I do remember one thing... the pipe wasn't made of glass.

Ah Crap, I Like Mixture 79

I completely agree and it's good to see someone stick up for a tobacco that has been repeatedly misaligned and the butt of many jokes, albeit I tried it in the 70's and found it not to my liking. However, after having read many of chashingembers posts I have the distinct feeling that he is not...

Cannot taste tobacco/keep it lit/whats the point in sipping?

I was also going to suggest either Carter Hall or Price Albert as these tobaccos can be smoked and keep burning even if you smoke them while taking a shower and will give you a good sense and a certain rhythm, as it were, to smoking a pipe. But, seeing that you can't obtain either in the UK I...

Ah Crap, I Like Mixture 79

Come to think about, I've never in my life ate something while smoking a pipe, or for that matter, a cigar or cigarettes. Drinking something a definite yes, but never eating or snacking as they just don't seem to go together.
