***What Are You Smoking, November 2022?***

I had some 10 year old Prairie Wind in a Jake Hackert poker. This has aged into a great smoke. The topping is mostly gone, and the McClelland Virginia comes through nicely with the perique adding some dried fruit.

The "New" Carter Hall and Prince Albert

I've been smoking pretty much nothing but Dominican Carter Hall for the last few weeks. The American Carter Hall I smoked before came in pouches, not the tub. But I think the new stuff is pretty darn close to the old. Is it exactly the same? Someone that has smoked tubs of the old will have to...

Just got some. Happy to see them back!

***What Are You Smoking, May 2021?***

Smoked some Watch City Deluxe Crumb Cut in a Boswell billiard. I think this is classified as an aromatic, and it does smell like it in the bag. But it doesn't smoke any more aromatic than a typical codger burley like Granger or SWR.

Lane Limited RR 14oz, Should I Jar It?

I recently cracked open a can of Lane Ready Rubbed and Jarred the majority of it, and left about 3oz in the can to smoke over the next month or so. When I need more I'll open up the jar. In my house tobacco dries out if left in the original container after opened.

***What Are You Smoking, April 2021?***

John Patton Moe's Confetti in a Boswell billiard. I'm surprised this doesn't get more mention from the burley/codger fans. Just slightly more aromatic than Carter Hall, but doesn't get rough in the middle of the bowl like some other blends. I would put the topping strength somewhere between Lane...

Match Carter Hall in a Dagner Cob. I'm pretty sure I like this better than the original Carter Hall.

    "American" Style English Blend Recommendations?

Missouri Meerschaum American Patriot is a nice easy English with some bourbon topping. I would call it an American English.

***What Are You Smoking, April 2021?***

2013 Prairie Wind in a Prohibition Dublin. This has aged nicely and lost a lot of the topping that could distract from the tobacco. Upon opening the jar I got a familiar ketchup aroma. It's obvious they used some McClelland tobacco's in this blend.

One Blend in One Pipe for One Week

I've got an 8oz bag of regular Burley Morning Pipe. I'm thinking about adding some Haunted Bookshop or Prince Albert Match to a bowl. Maybe that will get me close to Burlier.

One Blend in One Pipe for One Week

I'm hoping he releases this in the 8oz bag. It's great stuff.

***What Are You Smoking, April 2021?***

Had a bowl of Milan's "Our Carter Hall". A good smoke in its own right, but not real close to Carter Hall. I detect more vanilla, and less chocolate than Carter Hall.

    Lane Limited Ready Rubbed

I've only smoked Granger a few times but to me it's got some similarities with MacBaren Navy Flake. As in if you like one you'd like the other.
