    Kleenest Brand Pipe

Hello everyone and Happy New Year! Have any of you guys ever heard of the “Kleenest" pipe brand? I'm thinking of purchasing one and just wondering if it's worth my time (I've never heard of them). Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    Preserving Stamping While Restoring Pipes

Good Morning All! I hope ejames sees and responds to this particular topic since I read somewhere else on the forums that he is the resident Dr. Grabow guru. Anyway, I'm currently restoring two Dr. Grabow Golden Duke “Ajustomatic" pipes with the patent #'s stamped in the briar. What's the best...

    Soggy Bottom Pipe (HELP!!)

Sorry, Mike73...didn't mean to skip your question about the pipes. I have a Nording, a Paronelli, a Kaywoodie, a Stanhope, a Supermaster and several Dr. Grabows and Missouri Meerschaums. I feel like I have a decent selection as far as bent and straight stems. Thanks for all the responses and...

    Soggy Bottom Pipe (HELP!!)

A few of my pipes gurgle.... mostly the ones with stingers (I have 3 so equipped). As far as tobacco....I've been smoking Captain Black regular (love it), cherry and gold as well as some custom blends from my local B&M. Also have tried Half and Half as well.

    Soggy Bottom Pipe (HELP!!)

I have a problem I need you guys' help with. No matter what I do (varying packing method, puffing cadence variations, “sipping", etc) I never can seem to smoke a bowl all the way down to “fine white ash" like I've read others talking about. I always...ALWAYS end up with like a little “plug" of...

Carey's Smoke Shop “special offer" bogus?

Hey guys, it's me again. I heard from Mrs Jo Jennings at Monarch Pipe Co. on Wednesday evening. She actually took the time to call and inform me that the pipe I was griping about is indeed made of good old Mediterranean briar. She said the reason for the way it looks is because it is one of...

Carey's Smoke Shop “special offer" bogus?

Will try to post a photo but will admit I am not very tech savvy....PLUS I'm doing this from my phone :)

Carey's Smoke Shop “special offer" bogus?

So I called Carey's and spoke to a lady in customer service who was not particularly friendly nor particularly knowledgeable about the product. Anyway...she did[i] give me the number to Ms. Jo Jennings at Monarch Pipes. Ms. Jennings was VERY friendly and assured me she would do what she could to...

Carey's Smoke Shop “special offer" bogus?

Jkenp hit the nail on the head. It's not so much I was bashing Carey's. I just expect to get what I pay for and what is advertised...no matter whom it's from. I knew I would be getting a random pipe of their picking, just didn't expect plastic. And I do intend to call them. I was merely asking...

Carey's Smoke Shop “special offer" bogus?

Okay...I'm sure you've all seen the “special offer" from Carey's. The advertisement says you get a “magic inch" pipe and 4 oz of their best tobacco...“a $60.00 value for $19.95". Well...I just received mine today...the tobacco seems okay. The pipe, on the other hand, is a whole different story...

    Brand New to Pipe Smoking

    Brand New to Pipe Smoking

Ron...it's funny you mention a corncob. I currently have only three pipes...two of which are corncobs...the third briar. I seem to have much better luck "working" the cobs and keeping them lit as opposed to the briar. Is this fairly common for a newbie or is it because the briar isn't "smoked...

    Brand New to Pipe Smoking

Hello everyone... I hope this doesn't sound like too silly a question....but I'm very new to this. Is it okay to smoke aromatic and plain tobacco in the same pipe? Thanks for any help or advice.
