Where did pipe shapes get their names? Some make sense. A Brandy for instance. OK I get it shaped like a snifter. And of course there's the ball, and the apple, and the horn, and likely other self explanatory ones I'm forgetting. And I've read that a Billiard was orignially shaped using lathes... -
