    I love Escudo

I just tried my first bowl of Escudo. It was great. Piquant but not too much. Just the right amount of vitamin N.

    Cask 7 and Kinnick Kinnick

Today I had a bowl of Cask 7 by Comoy (fantastic) then I smoked a bowl of kinnick kinnick, a tobacco-free mixture of herbs traditionally smoked by Native Americans. There are many mixtures of kinnick kinnick, just like there are of pipe tobacco. The mixture I smoked today contained bearberry...

    Seattle Pipe Club's plum pudding

I had a bowl of plum pudding yesterday in a Missouri Meerschaum, spool-shaped great Dane. Great stuff: It was little spicy, a little smoky and I love the texture. I went to a famous local Irish pub for St. Patrick's Day. It was crowded as hell inside so went outside to do some puffing. It was a...

Iranian man smokes animal dung in his pipe

A few months back, some of you criticized me for smoking my own personal kinnick kinnick recipe (willow bark and Five Brothers). So I'm curious to know what you think of 80-year-old Amou Haji. He's a native of the Iranian village of Dejgah in the province of Fars. He smokes dried animal dung in...

    Tobacco storage

I transferred all of my tobacco to mason jars, screwed the lids tight and I placed them in a cabinet in a cool, dry place. However, none of the jars are filled to the top there's a little pocket of air in each one. Will the tobacco stay moist as long as I keep the lids screwed tight? If not...

    Meerschaum Pipe

A few weeks ago I bought my first true meerschaum (mot Missouri Meerschaum) from a seller on Ebay. I instantly fell in love with. I had no idea they were this good. The smoke dry and cool. The pipe is light and it cleans so easily. I'm beginning to think I've wasted my money smoking briars and...

    Altering Missouri Meerschaums

I love altering my MM corn cobs. I replace the factory stems with bamboo stems. I give the cobs a coat of clear lacquer and I raise the bottom of the bowls using pipe mud. Who else does these nutty things?
