    Edward G. Robinson Blend

I just got my first tin of EGR a few weeks ago and have been delighted with every bowl so far. I was a bit dubious about how the fruit and Latakia would play together. It turns out they get along amazingly well. I have come to think of fruit topping as kids stuff, the Jerry Lewis of flavors...

Which Phoenix/Scottsdale B&Ms are worth visiting?

I was at Ford and Haig a year ago and the owner was in the process of retiring/selling the shop. I read that they have reopened under new ownership as Ford's on Fifth. I think they've got more pipe stuff now, from what I've gathered online anyways. It was a really neat little shop with a lot...

    [AhmadOthman] G.L. Pease Cairo Review

That is an amazing picture! I can't help but wonder what year those stones were laid and how many feet have helped to polish their face.

    Hal O' The Wynd

After five years and a closet full of different blends I'll probably never finish, Hal o' the Wynd, Escudo and Orlik are the three I've settled on as my go to blends. I prefer HotW in an old Shelldrake bent bulldog I picked up at an antique store. It's bowl dimensions are about identical to a...

    Rattray's Exotic Orange

Must have been in the late 90's, Camel had a run of different flavored cigarettes that they marketed in tins. "Mandarin Mint" was my favorite of the series. I still have one of the empty tins in my toolbox at work. Each time I open that drawer and see that tin, I remember how delicious the...

What Happened to Sutliff’s Count Pulaski?

Well, I just dug it out and found only a few bowls worth left in the jar. I must've liked it more than I remembered. :-)

What Happened to Sutliff’s Count Pulaski?

I might have a few ounces jarred in the back of the closet from a few years back. If you run into problems getting some I'd be willing to trade. PM me if you get to that point.

    Cornell & Diehl: Riverboat Gambler

I had my eye on this for a while and finally got around to ordering a tin a few weeks ago. A bowl and a quarter into it has been enough for me. Have you heard of the TurDuckHen? The chicken stuffed duck stuffed turkey? I'd call this blend SwishCamBoro, kind of like a Marlboro light stuffed...

    3D Printed Pipe Case

Well that would have been a good idea. Didn't even think of it!

    3D Printed Pipe Case

While we were visiting family in Arizona for Thanksgiving, my brother offered to make a case for my Sav 311 on his 3d printer. The shape of the 311 is fairly straight forward so getting the dimensions and fit weren't too much of a challenge. We were able to capture a couple of rare earth...

    Sasquatch Sighting!

About two years ago we loaded up the kids and headed out to the dry side of the state to visit friends. Made it out there just fine and everything was going pretty okay until I stepped into the shower of our hotel and saw this! It ended up being the highlight of the weekend. A week or two...

How do I "dull down" a Gaudy Laquer Finish???

I've used #0000 steel wool and have been pleased with the results.

    Acrylic Solvent

MEK will soften acrylic. I wouldn't recommend going anywhere near the stuff though. Nasty, nasty chemical.

Please Recommend A Mower, Not Briggs & Strat.

I, too, have the Husky awd. My only regret is not knowing the Honda motor was an option when I bought it. Even with the Briggs, though, this mower has been a life changing experience for me. The awd and tall rear wheels have conquered my bumpy, hilly yard. Would buy another one in a minute!

    Growing Tobacco in the Desert

I grew up in Gilbert, once known as the hay capital of the world. With the high temps and flood irrigation alfalfa, corn, sorghum, cotton, cut flower crops and many more have done really well. I think with some shade screen and plenty of water you would be off to a good start. I'm no pro tho. :)

    Strambach's Cultured Meerschaum

I've had one for about two years now. No complaints and it's starting to color nicely. Not my everyday smoker, but I do enjoy it when it comes up in the rotation.

Savinelli 311ks or 320 (Both In Rustic)

I've got both and would say I like the larger bowl diameter of the 320 but the 311 is much more comfortable for me. I've been sticking to ribbon cuts in the 311 and save the flakes for my larger bowled pipes. (Just my way of doing it) All in all, for smoking qualities I like my 320, for...

Color me pretty. Stains suitable for pipes.

I've been having really good results with a water based leather dye for my leather projects. I've wanted to try finishing a pipe with the product and see how it works. It's called Eco-Flo from Tandy Leather Factory.

What's The Tobacco That You Always Wish You Had More Of?

Mac Baren Burley, London Blend. All I got is all I got.
