    That first English... the horror.

The one that got me was mixture no. 79. It smells like an elderly woman's permed blue hair, and it tastes like soap.

    High Vitamin N Blends?

C&D Old Joe Krantz, Ten Russians, SG 1792 Flake, C&D Haunted Bookshop, C&D Bow Legged Bear, Any rope but Brown Bogie is the strongest. These are my go to blends for a nic fix. I also enjoy Jacknife Plug, Triple Play, C&D Big and Burley and C&D Bayou and Three Nuns. They are not as high in nic...

    Boswells

I made the trek to the Boswell's shop last year and it was well worth it. They are great guys that offer excellent service. I left with two pipes and a few pounds of tobac.

    H & H Classic Burley Kake

I am a big fan of Burley Kake. I have been smoking mostley burley blends for the past year or so and this is the only H&H blend that has been in my rotation. It has become my morning smoke because the nicotine content is moderate compared to some of the blends I smoke.

    Suggestions For Rope Tobacco

I rough cut mine as well Mike. I usually cut up enough for a few bowls and throw it in a baggie. And I agree they do need to dry out more than most. I cut a small amount into a fine powder and sprinkle it on the top of the bowl to help with lighting. I have also tried them as a chewing...

    Suggestions For Rope Tobacco

I smoke Gawith Hoggarth & Co. Sweet Coconut Twist, Rum Twist and Happy Bogie. I enjoy my tobacco on the robust end of the scale and I like a healthy dose of vitamin N. I smoke the coconut and rum when I am in the mood for something with a bit of sweetness on the back end. The Happy Bogie has...

Anyone Else Like A Well-Worn Pipe?

I have always been hard on my pipes. I often smoke on the go and my pipes collect scratches, dents and rim darkening. Most of my collection consists of rusticated and sandblasted pipes which show a bit less wear. But I have always enjoyed the look of a well worn pipe. I also use softie bits...

    Missouri Meerschaum Hardwoods

I have four - two Diplomats and two Ozarks. I agree that the break in smokes do taste a bit odd from the coating. They are in my work rotation with the rest of my cobs. I can't say I like them more than my "real" cobs but MM does not make a bad product IMHO.
