***What Are You Smoking, November 2023?***

I’m a huge H.P. Lovecraft fan and I really enjoy most of C&D’s ‘Old Ones’ series. ‘Awakened Elder’, in particular, has become one of my favorite blends and I typically smoke some at least once a day. It just so happens that’s what I am currently smoking!

    Birth Year Pipe

I came close to finding a birth year Dunhill only a year ago when my local B&M had a few estates for sale, all popular brands, and all ridiculously cheap. I snatched almost all of them, but two in particular were fantastic- one was a four-panel Becker that cost me $40 and the other was a Dunhill...

Conclave Of Richmond Pipe Smokers and Sutliff Tobacco Pipe Smokers' Gathering

I’m pretty heartbroken that I didn’t get to go this year. I’d been looking forward to it since the last show and was disappointed when it was cancelled last year. I sadly had to miss this year’s show due to throat surgery, but I’m gonna be there next year, God willing. Glad that y’all had a...

    "From Beyond" tobacco tasting

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, my dude! I was only able to snag a single tin which arrived yesterday; I’m thinking about aging it for a bit before I crack it open.

    MM Has Limited Crumble Kake.

I’m gonna give it a shot and see. I ordered two tins - one to try and the other to age. I may be an idiot but when I see a blend has such a small number of tins produced I always snatch two; if I wind up not liking it then I have a full tin that I can trade in the not-too-distant future to...

    Cartoon Caption Contest

I hope that the contest comes back soon, if it hasn’t already - it’s been pretty darn good to me over the years!

    What's Your Favorite Bulk Aromatic?

LJ Peretti Strawberry Patch. Look, I understand that a strawberry-flavored tobacco seems odd or even an abomination, but it’s actually really good.

Words And Phrases You've Come To Love

"Boneskeezle", referring to...well, use your imagination. I love it because I made it up and it *almost* always makes the ladies laugh.

How To Deal With Controversial Opinions

Arguing with people over the Internet is a lot like masturbting...it may make you feel good, but when you're done you're still sad that you're all alone.

Brian Levine Interviewed on Stogie Guys

I love that Brian Levine, I really do. He's a pretty funny (looking) guy!

    Thoughts on Stanwell.

I do not own any Stanwells in my collection yet, but I plan on it. They seem to be a good value for the price, and they have some nice designs. Although they are now a "factory, machine-made pipe" for the most part, I've yet to hear anyone say that they are poor smokers.

***What Are You Smoking *** (Nov. 2014)

Finally picked up a tin of HH Old Dark Fired (after hearing so many good things about it) and I am smoking it in a Savinelli Churchwarden. Really good tobacco; glad I picked a tin of it up.

If You Could Only Have One Pipe

If I could only have one pipe... I'd probably go completely insane. But if I had to choose only one, I would choose my Peterson Aran x105, as it has consistently been an excellent smoker.

    Help Me Choose! Newer Smoker

Frog Morton's Cellar is a fantastic blend! Good choice on that, Brandzig, and welcome to the community! I would recommend that you try Frog Morton On The Bayou (my personal favorite), Dunhill Nightcap, and www.pipesandcigars.com 's Black House. I think that you will love them.

    Regarding Your Roation...

My rotation depends upon the day and how busy I am, but I typically smoke one or two of my briars each day and then rest them after one, perhaps two, bowls each for a few days, and I have a large amount of MM Cobs to smoke whenever I want or when I doing activities that I would be afraid to...

What's Your Favorite Pipe Smoking Movie?

I think that I may have already responded to this old post, but just in case I have not, I would have to say that my favorite "pipe smoking" movie is Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World. Lots of pipe smoking during the crew's leisure time, cool naval battles, beautiful...

We All Love Comics, Any Heroes/Villains Smoke a Pipe?

And didn't the great Sgt. Rock and some members of Easy Company smoke pipes while in combat with Zee Germans? I'll have to dig out some of those old issues and check.

We All Love Comics, Any Heroes/Villains Smoke a Pipe?

Seeing Bruce Wayne, Captain America, Professor Xavier, Tony Stark/Iron Man and Nick Fury smoke their pipes is pretty awesome every time I see it. I've already seen them smoke pipes before in old comics, with the exception of Steve Rogers/Captain America. I was tickled to see that, so thanks...

    Women! Sigh.

Met an unbelievably beautiful and awesome woman. We're really compatible. Buuuuuutttttt... she says that I have to quit smoking in order to have a serious relationship with her. 8O Needless to say, I told her that wasn't happening. I will smoke until the day that the Good Lords say it...
