Are there any cigars that come close to the taste of pipe tobacco?
Just wondering. I used to smoke cigars fairly frequently (only occasionally now). Would be nice if there were cigar stick that tasted like a good VaPer..- steelman

Can an open tin of tobacco get "skunky"
I have had open tins of Grousemoor and Dorchester now for 3 weeks (in ziploc bags). I knew they would dry out...but I did this purposefully to lower moisture content. Problem is...when I smoke them now...they are "skunky" and don't taste at all like when I first opened the can. I smoked the...- steelman

Are there any good VAPERS & VA blends that do not need aging to be enjoyed?
OK almost all the VAPERS/ VA blends that I read about (like the classic ESCUDO, various SG flakes, etc.) all come with the caveat that they need "aging" to be fully enjoyed. What are some of the better VAPER/ VA blends that I can enjoy straight from the tin while I'm waiting for the others to...- steelman

Is the current Dunhill still high quality tobacco?
I understand that the older Dunhill blends may be superior to todays offering (not by my experience..but by what I read in the forums). Is the current offering by Dunhill still quality tobacco? I smoke Sam Gawith and Esoterica tobaccos..is it on par with these makers? Or should I search for...- steelman

Noobiest of Noob question....
OK I'm an outdoor smoker. Even in the Winter. But sometimes I'd prefer an indoor smoke... if only because it's more practical at the moment. So my question.....any chances of setting off the fire alarm indoors when smoking a pipe? I know..pretty paranoid, right? But the fire department showed...- steelman

Paolo Becker pipe question....
I've been drawn to the Becker collection of pipes...particularly the black blasted/carved pipes. My question.....is there a shape or shapes that characterizes a Becker pipe? Are there any shapes that he is particularly known for? I saw a "pick axe" shape that I thought was interesting & unique.. -

Who is (are) your favorite tobacco makers?
OK everyone has a favorite singular blend or flake etc..... but which makers/houses do you feel make the finest overall selection of tobaccos...based on quality & consistency? My limited experience has been Samuel Gawith and Esoterica (I guess it's really Germain)......- steelman

Any experience with Moretti pipes?
Considering adding a Moretti to my small italian stable. I like their shapes and have heard good things in general regarding Calabrian briar. I currently have a Savinelli autograph and a Castello. Any experiences? Thanks in advance- steelman

Please help me eliminate wet dottle.....
I buy high quality pipes. I buy high quality tobacco. I pack lightly and smoke gently. Seems no matter what I do, I always wind up with a little (about 10- 20%) wet dottle at the bottom of the bowl. What's the secret? Or is this appropriate ? Thanks in advance....- steelman

Your favorite English Blend?
I currently smoke Margate, and I haven't looked for a new blend in awhile. Looking for some of the forum's favorite blends. I typically smoke one or 2 bowls a day, usually in the evening so I prefer a more full bodied smoke. Thanks in advance... Ron- steelman
