    Where to Buy a Meerschaum?

I've ordered meers directly from Turkey twice. It can take a very long time. One pipe took 4 months to get here. If I order again I'll order from a supplier in the US who has pipes on hand.

    What's the Difference???

I would say English blends are mixtures of Virginia and Latakia along with other tobaccos like Perique or Orientals. Usually they do not contain added flavoring .

How Often to Clean Your Pipe

I lightly clean my pipes after each smoke. I use a pipe cleaner and just a bit Pipemaster's Clean and Cure in the stem and shank. And just lightly brush out the bowl...afterwards I let the pipe rest for a day or two. I've only used the salt and alcohol treatments on estate pipes.

What are You Eating for Christmas

My buddy told me today that their family tradition is to have tamales every Christmas eve; they've done that for about 16 years now - since moving back to Texas. We're having BBQ tomorrow.

What do you think Santa smokes ?

It would be a tobacco that's sweet to taste and smells like fresh fruit cake or ginger bread.

    The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

@ alancairns and juvat270 Exactly! I thought the movie was great, even though I think it would have been better as two movies than three. But, I'm a Tolkien fan, so the more the merrier.

    PipesMagazine.com on Kindle

I used my Kindle Keyboard to receive Pipesmagazine articles for a month or two. It works perfect. The only downside is the fault of the Kindle; the Kindle's 3G (wireless) has to be left "on" to receive blogs or magazines on a regular basis and 3G runs the battery down fast.

20% of PM Traffic is via Mobile

Very interesting. I use my iPhone some to read posts on the forum, but I have a hard time replying to posts. The tiny keyboard on the phone is not my favorite to use.
