You can learn from other people's stories too. i own a churchwarden 601 by Savinelli (ofc Briar) that is my first and only pipe, I want to expand my collection now, then looking around I found out pear pipes were cheaper so I wanted to know if they're worth buying...

    So because it bothered me I opted for a top sanding, I worked like half of a millimiter and then I found the results quite sufficient, I'll show you the pictures below, it do is a small detail but it makes the difference, I'm gonna polish it with carnauba wax later on

    Pipe damaged on the rim

    Hi guys, I'm a beginner and today after one of the first smoking I find on my pipe that mark on the rim, what can I do about it? I'll be more careful with the flame, I was thinking about sanding it a little bit to take away the black rim (I tried already saliva and alcohol) but I don't know...
