Drying Tobacco
I'll put a whole tin's contents into a jar and leave the lid off (or slightly askew) until the tobacco is crispy on top. Might take a day or three depending. Yep. I've done that. I probably wouldn't have sweated the glass shards, but when that happened to me (on a couple occasions) the tobacco was full of dust and dog hair off the basement floor. In my experience, when you get slapped with duty, taxes and fees, it works out to as high as $1 per gram, which is how much my local B&M charges for bulk, so on 100 tins, that could be as much as $5000.00... (minus the 4 tin exemption if you spend more than 7 days in the U.S.) I say again...- Winnipeger
