    Need Info on This Pipe

Hello all. Picked this up today in a lot of pipes I bought for $15. There was also a Dr. Grabow Golden Duke, which is the reason I bought them. The pipe is stamped Amphora. I know it’s an Amphora pipe but nothing else. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Tobacco Rotations

I’ve read a lot regarding pipe rotations, but I’m curious about smoker’s tobacco rotations. How many tobaccos are in your rotation? How long into your pipe smoking journey did it take to settle on your core blends? I’m new to this hobby but have already found a couple of blends that will...

    Made In The USA

Picked up this Kirsten over the weekend. I really liked the way it looked. After doing some research I believe it is a second generation Aladdin. It’s stamped made in USA A, and has o rings. I found the story of the company very interesting. Anyone have any experience with these?

    Estate Restoration

Bought this today at an antique store. I have never purchased an estate pipe because I’m not really sure what I’m doing. This seems to be in good shape just dirty? It’s stamped as follows: Castello Italy Sea Rock Briar Reg No 66171 No 56/F Made in Cantù I have many questions but the most...

    Burley Based Blends

I’m finding as I sample more tobaccos I really enjoy VaPers. In particular I like the bready, fruity, tangy flavors. I have yet to try many burley blends. I recently accidentally ordered a small quantity of Haunted Bookshop and love it. In particular I like the nutty/woody flavor that I...

    Cobs and Briars

Lately I’ve been noticing that my cobs are harder to keep lit and smoke hotter than the couple of briars I have. I like the taste I get from the cobs slightly better. This is recently developed problem. I’m packing and tamping the same. Should I be drying the tobacco longer for cobs?

    Tobacco Taste

Is there any correlation to tobacco type/blend to food or beverage preferences? I’m trying to see if there is an easier way to guess at what tobaccos I may like other than a scatter shot approach. I have tried about a dozen aromatics and find them all lacking depth of flavor even though I can...

    Good Evenin’ from Florida

I have been smoking pipes on and off for a couple of years, and the last go round it stuck. I have several cobs and a couple briars. My favorite is a Butz-Choquin that my father gave me from his foray into pipe smoking years ago. I’m excited to start a journey that will afford me ample...
