STG closes Mac Baren and Sutliff

Sorry to hear about this. Just my luck that tobacco, whch is already ridiculously expensive here in Canada and hard to get, is going to get even harder to find. Someone doesn't want us smoking this stuff folks...

    Do You Reuse Mason Jars?

Just wash 'em out real good and you're good to go. Maybe replace the lid part with the seal if you're worried about aromas transferring to the new tobacco.

    Lane Limited Bulk Blends…

I don't mind HGL for a little aromatic, little Latakia mix. 1Q is a classic but it's not complex. Just a nice mellow smoke. BCA is great, probably the best straight Cavendish mix out there. Too wet though.

Wisconsin Sales Tax on Tobacco Starting Jan. 1, 2025

You should try living in Canada. I was recently looking at some tins of Macbaren at my local B&M. $72 for 1.75 ounces! Talk about nuts!

Best Pipe Tobacco for Appetite Suppressant

First, congrats on your healthy choices and recent weight loss! I find a combination of nicotine and caffeine are great to suppress the appetite. Smoke a pipe with a big cup of coffee and you won't be hungry all day. At least that's my experience. In terms of tobacco with the largest nicotine...

Has Sir Walter Raleigh Original Changed Recently?

I hope they haven't changed the recipe but given that they may be using tobaccos sourced from a different place, I'd say it's inevitable. I can't stand the aromatic version. Regular is a great tobacco for an OTC blend.

    Man, it's Gotta be Cheap . . . .

It's also getting bad in Ontario these days. A 50 g package of Captain Black or Borkum Riff is now around $50. It's basically $1 per gram. Any better quality tobacco and you're going to pay more. My local B&M has Cornell and Diehl for $66 a tin! It's highway robbery and we just roll over and...
