    Require Help Identifying A Pipe

Thanks! Currently that link's giving me a 403 error, will figure that out after work. As a note: It seems to smoke pretty well. No hotspots or any weirdness that I can detect, so am unsure why it got basketted, it's an absolute beaut!

    Require Help Identifying A Pipe

Hello everyone, A friend from the USA has sent me a Christmas card and along with it, safely packaged, a tobacco pipe! He's not a smoker and we haven't discussed the pipe yet, but I'd like to know some more about it, if possible. The surface where there'd be a name seems blank. It looks...

Do you prefer the 1st or 2nd half of bowl better?

First half generally, since by the time I delve into the second a bit of clearing, humidity management and heavier compression is involved. Though sometimes the tobacco and packing are just right and it's a smooth smoke through the entire bowl. Heh, makes me think of the optimism / pessimism...

Is Having too Much Personality a Liability these Days?

It depends on how you're perceived. At work I tend to speak my mind without waiting much, which has resulted in some tension here and there, but the higher ups seem to prefer someone that is openly honest, even if it's rude sometimes.

    Anyone Play Video Games?

I've been trundling along with a friend in Deep Rock Galactic. This game is seriously good and the developers are marvelous. No microtransactions, season pass is full and free for everyone, heaps of content and a damn awesome progression through weapons, modifications and cosmetics. Never felt...

Who is Your Current Favorite Writer?

It'll be Tolkien for me, currently listening to the Rob Inglis audiobooks for the second time this year, though a member here called Sam Gamgee (Heh) recommended Andy Serkis' narration of The Hobbit.

    Any Carvers Here?

Very nice pieces! I approve of the dwarves, especially. I will eventually get into miniature hand carving, but that'll happen after I set up a little workshop, as I'm taking things slowly. Currently getting the hang of sharpening, chiseling, sawing and planing, as I would like to eventually make...

    Any Carvers Here?

Thank you! And I will. If you want to see some insanely good powercarving, I recommend this man's work: Lovely work! Have you considered carving on an unfinished predrilled pipe? I see these crop up here and there.
